Weld Seam Grinder

Nov 14, 2007 I have to remove the weld seam on 5 ft of 3 id square tubing. Whats the best way to do it? It is for a slip fit boom. I was thinking a 2x3 with carborundum 60 grit sanding roll stapled to it, sliding back and fourth like a file.
